Assessment Apportionments for the STAR, CELDT, and CAHSEE


Funding Description

Funding is provided to reimburse local educational agencies the cost associated with administering the STAR, CELDT, and CAHSEE for the 2012-13 and prior school/fiscal years. The amount apportioned per pupil per test is established by the State Board of Education (SBE)

Allocation Formula STAR: $2.52 per student tested in grades two through eleven with the California Standards Tests (CSTs), California Modified Assessment (CMA), or a combination thereof; $5.00 per student tested with the California Alternate Performance Assessment (CAPA); $2.52 per student tested in grades two through eleven with the Standards-based Tests in Sanish (STS); $0.38 per student not tested with the CST, CMA, STS, or CAPA for whom only demographics data were submitted. CELDT: $5.00 per student tested within the Annual Assessment or Initial Assessment window. CAHSEE: $3.00 per tested; $0.32 for each grade 10 census answer document returned.
