Funding Description

Senate Bill 129 requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to contract with an institution of higher education or a nongovernmental organization with expertise in Individualized Education Program (IEP) facilitation and alternative dispute resolution in special education in California to develop the model for an IEP facilitation network. The model developed shall delineate policies and procedures to ensure that the IEP facilitation services are provided by neutral, trained facilitators in compliance with relevant state and federal law.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Institutions of higher education, nonprofit organizations, other organizations or agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Eligible applicants must be an institution of higher education or a nongovernmental organization. Eligible applicants are required to have expertise in IEP facilitation and alternative dispute resolution in special education in California.
