Funding Description

The purpose of the funds is to assist the California Department of Education, Even Start Office in providing additional technical assistance to local Even Start projects. The technical assistance activities will focus on program quality implementation and all of the required program elements.


Eligible Applicants Individuals
Required Eligibility Criteria For the past six years the grantee has organized and conducted state trainings, coordinated regional workshops, and provided technical assistance to projects throughout the state.
Other Eligibility Considerations The selected grantee will provide technical assistance and support to local Even Start projects. First, they had to be administering a successful Even Start project for a four year period. Secondly, they had to demonstrate effective leadership and interpersonal skills, and possess a strong background in early literacy programs.
