Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education Through Technology (Formula)

EETT Formula program provides funding to assist local education agencies (LEAs) in improving student achievement through the use of technology in elementary and secondary schools. The funding supports ongoing, sustained, intensive, and high-quality professional development to integrate advanced technologies into curricula and instruction. No application is necessary.

Criteria
LEAs must have an education technology plan approved by the California Department of Education that meets state guidelines and federal requirements. LEAs must receive Title I, Part A funds, which serves as the basis for allocating Title II, Part D funds.

LEAs not receiving Title I, Part A funding may participate in the program if they apply in a consortium with an LEA that receives funds under Title I, Part A.

Other LEA technology plans are submitted to their regional CTAP office. CTAP will review to ensure that the technology plans meet federal and state guidelines prior to submitting to the CDE for final approval. Plans can be submitted to CTAP in one of three filing cycles (A, B, or C) as follow: Cycle A: October 8, 2010 Cycle B: December 17, 2010 Cycle C: May 31, 2011 All technology plans must be received by 5:00 PM on or before the Cycle Date to be considered for that review cycle. Late submissions will not be considered for that cycle, and processed in the next cycle. No technology plans will be considered for the fiscal year 2010-11, if received after May 31, 2011.
