Diploma Plus Schools Coordination

Funding Description

The purpose of this funding is to establish the California Coordinating Organization (CCO) as an intermediary for the expansion of Diploma Plus (DP) schools in California. The Commonwealth Corporation (CommCorp), supported through a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, will expand its DP network of small schools to California. The California Department of Education is overseeing the expansion of DP sites in California at the state level, while working with the CCO and CommCorp who are overseeing implementation at the site level.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies, nonprofit organizations, other organizations or agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Non-profit organizations, agencies, and local educational agencies are eligible to apply for funding to coordinate the expansion of Diploma Plus schools in California.
Other Eligibility Considerations The selection of the CCO will be competitive. The selected agency must demonstrate that it is credible, capable, and able to manage a statewide project. Management activities include four categories: liaison support, coaching support, network support and basic organizational support.
