A resource list of statewide partners providing science professional learning (PL) and science instruction support.

These links are created and maintained by outside sources and are not part of the California Department of Education (CDE).

California Association of Science Educators (CASE) External link opens in new window or tab.
CASE is a non-profit 501(c)(3) membership organization that represents science educators statewide in every science discipline at every grade level, kindergarten through university.

California County Superintendents External link opens in new window or tab.
Supports a regional system of education support for the California education system, including the Curricular and Improvement Support Committee (CISC) External link opens in new window or tab. .

  • The CISC Science Subcommittee provides collaborative leadership among county offices of education to implement statewide programs, identify and promote quality cost-effective educational practices and services, and to provide support to school districts (including professional learning support).

The mission of the CSPExternal link opens in new window or tab. (PDF) is to develop and enhance teachers' science content knowledge and pedagogical practices in order to support high-quality science education for all transitional kindergarten to high school students throughout the state. The CSP provides professional learning and support to California school districts.

California Regional Environmental Education Community Networks (CREEC) External link opens in new window or tab.
A program of the CDE and a network which provides professional learning opportunities for educators and resources to integrate environmental literacy in lessons with students.

California Mathematics, Science, and Computer Science Partnership (CAL-MSCS) External link opens in new window or tab.
CAL-MSCS is funded through the Mathematics, Science, and Computer Science Professional Learning (MSCS PL) Grant. The CAL-MSCS is a comprehensive, multi-agency system designed to provide a sustainable, impactful professional learning infrastructure for mathematics, science, and computer science educators from across the state. The CAL-MSCS vision is to ensure that each and every California educator experiences the professional learning and support they need to provide a high-quality mathematics, science, and computer science education for all California students.
