California Adult Education Honor Roll
The California Department of Education (CDE) sponsors several programs that honor and recognize adult education programs and adult learners. The links provided lead to descriptions of successful adult learners and commendable adult education programs and practices in California.
California Adult Learner Persistence Project
Because mandatory attendance requirements do not apply to adults, the ability of students to voluntarily remain in education programs, or "persist," is a key factor in adult learner achievement. By focusing on learner persistence, adult education and literacy providers can better assist learners in meeting their educational goals.

Bulletin 05-01: Implementation of Assembly Bill 23
This chaptered bill resolves the long-standing disputed claims for adult education average daily attendance (a.d.a.) from 1990-91 and 1991-92, allows for the redistribution of prior year adult education funds if an excess exists, and adjusts unused authorized limits of a.d.a. units, commonly referred to as "a.d.a. cap."

Information for school districts receiving adult education state apportionment about the legal requirements of offering GED preparation classes in the Spanish language.
