The Diagnostic Centers were authorized by the Legislature in 1944 and established regionally in Los Angeles, Fresno, and Fremont. The three Diagnostic Centers provide high quality services to special education students, their families and local education agencies (LEAs). Expert, transdisciplinary teams of diagnostic professionals provide services to address the unique educational needs of California’s most difficult to serve special education students.
The Diagnostic Centers maintain their own Web site. For more information go to http://www.dc-cde.ca.gov/ (Outside Source).
