Escribo en Español (Literary Contest)

Escribo en Español (Outside Source) encourages third to twelfth grade students to further Spanish writing skills by providing awards for the best prose and poetry. The annual contest begins in November and ends in February. For information, contact Edda Caraballo at 916-319-0396.

Ruta Quetzal

The Ruta Quetzal-BBVA (Outside Source) is an academic and travel adventure. High school students in the twelfth grade of a California public school are eligible to enter the creative contest by preparing a writing, art, or music project. Concurso de Dibujo (Art Contest) and Concurso de Fotografía Juvenil (Photography Contest)

The consulates of Mexico encourage students, 7 to 13 years old, of Mexican origin to submit works of art for the annual Concurso de Dibujo Contest (Outside Source). High school students of Mexican origin from 14 years and up may enter the photography contest.

Scrivo in Italiano

Scrivo in Italiano (Outside Source) encourages third to twelfth grade students to further Italian writing skills by providing the best prose and poetry. The annual contest begins in February and ends in April. The National Italian American Foundation provides the awards to the winning students.
