2014 Mathematics Instructional Materials Adoption (K–8)
Assembly Bill 1246 (Chapter 668 of the Statutes of 2012), signed on September 27, 2012, authorized the State Board of Education to conduct a primary adoption of kindergarten through grade eight instructional materials in mathematics aligned to the Common Core State Standards. Assembly Bill 1246 will take effect on January 1, 2013. Information on this website will be updated as it becomes available.

Pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 5, Section 9521, any written comment from a member of the public regarding the content of instructional materials that is received by the Executive Director of the Instructional Quality Commission by August 27, 2013, will be distributed to the review panel that is reviewing the instructinal material that is the subject of the comment. Such comments will be distributed to the review panels no later than September 3, 2013. The form above may be used to submit comments, but is not required. Comments can be submitted via mail, e-mail, or facsmile to the following address:
