Funding Description
The California Lottery's mandate, as defined in the California State Lottery Act, is to provide supplemental funding to California public education on all levels from kindergarten through higher education, plus several miscellaneous entities. Funds for kindergarten through grade twelve are distributed based on average daily attendance. The unrestricted funds are for student education and may not be used for acquisition of real property, construction, research, or any non-instructional purposes. Lottery funds based on Proposition 20 are for the purchase of instructional materials.Due Date
