California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Apportionment


Funding Description

Funding is provided to reimburse districts and charter schools the costs associated with administering the California English Language Development Test (CELDT). The CELDT is a criterion-referenced examination and is aligned to the California academic content standards in English-language development adopted by the State Board of Education. Approximately 1,060 local educational agencies (LEAs) administer the CELDT during various testing periods.

Other The apportionment payment includes district and/or charter schools that have signed and submitted an apportionment report and certification postmarked by December 31. The CELDT Apportionment Report and Certification is mailed to school districts/charter schools by November 15 each year with a deadline to be returned to CDE by December 31.
