Commercial Dishwasher Grant Informational Webinar

The Commercial Dishwasher Grant (CDG) Request for Application (RFA) informational webinar will provide an opportunity for eligible local educational agencies (LEA) to learn about the purpose of the competitive grant, the application process, scoring criteria, funding details, expenditure information, record keeping and reporting requirements, available resources, and frequently asked questions.

Participation in this webinar is not required in order to be awarded funds.

Background

The State of California has dedicated a total of $15 million to fund the CDG. The CDG is a competitive funding opportunity that supports the purchase and installation costs of energy-efficient commercial dishwashers to reduce reliance on single use food service ware in the Child Nutrition Programs. All LEAs that are sponsors of the National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program, including school districts, county offices of education, and direct-funded charter schools, are eligible to apply for this competitive grant opportunity. Eligible LEAs may apply to receive funding for up to five school sites. Each site awarded may receive up to $40,000 to support the purchase of an energy-efficient commercial dishwasher and/or costs directly related to installation.
