Two times the sum of multiple subject elementary teachers in a kindergarten through grade eight self-contained classroom and special education teachers who teach mathematics or reading 2. Plus the sum of teachers who hold a single-subject teaching credential, certificate or authoriztion issued by the Commisission on Teacher Credentialing in English, social science, science or mathematics who teach their respective subjects in a classroom that is not self-contained 3. Plus the sum of teachers who hold a one-year emergency teaching permit or emergency career substitute teaching permit or emergency career substitute teaching permit who teach English, social science, mathematics, or science in a classroom that is not self-contained The sum of the teachers in the categories specified in the information above equals a LEA's total eligible teachers. This total multiplied by the funding cap of 3.4091 percent, rounded to the nearest whole number, is the number of teachers that will be funded for the LEA. The funded number of teachers multiplied by $2,115.50 yields the LEA's approximate FY 2008-09 SB3472 funding for the base program. |
