Item 02:
Subject: Approval of Meeting Minutes
Type of Action: Action, Information
Recommendation: The CDE recommends that the Panel approve the minutes of the February 16, 2024, RDRSSP meeting.
Action: Vice Chair Guerrero moved to approve the CDE staff recommendation.
Panel Member Martinez seconded the motion.

Item 03:
Subject: Review of the Statute and Panel Process
Type of Action: Information
State Board of Education staff gave a presentation that provided the Panel an opportunity to learn the statute that governs the Panel and their processes.
Action: No action was taken.

Item 04:
Subject: Proposed Review Elements and Evaluation Criteria
Chair Kim gave a presentation on the proposed Review Elements and Evaluation Criteria. WestEd staff facilitated a Panel discussion on the item.

Item 05:
Subject: Discussion of the Draft Scoring Rubric
WestEd staff gave a presentation and led two study sessions on the draft Scoring Rubric.
Type of Action: Information
Action: No Action Taken.

Item 06:
Subject: Consider Revisions to the Review Elements and Evaluation Criteria
Type of Action: Action, Information
Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Panel approve the RDRSSP Proposed Review Elements and Evaluation Criteria to meet requirements of California Education Code Section 53008, subdivisions (b) and (g), and inform an evaluation rubric for consideration by the Panel.
Action: Panel Member Wilson moved to direct staff to make the proposed changes in slides 3−13 of the presentation to the RDRSSP Proposed Review Elements and Evaluation Criteria and to bring it back to the Panel for approval at the April 19, 2024, RDRSSP meeting.
Vice Chair Guerrero seconded the motion.
