Funding Description
Funding is made available to eligible local educational agencies (LEAs) to provide supplementary programs and services to eligible immigrant students. The purpose of the subgrants is to assist immigrant students to acquire English and achieve grade-level and graduation standards. Note: Recipients and funding amounts are subject to budget and administrative adjustments.Eligibility

Required Eligibility Criteria | LEAs that experienced a two percent or greater growth in the enrollment of eligible immigrant students in 2015 as compared to the average of the eligible immigrant enrollments of 2013 and 2014 are eligible to apply. Immigrant student enrollment for 2016 is taken from the Fall 2015 California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) data collections. |
Other Eligibility Considerations | LEAs eligible to receive a formula subgrant may apply for Title III Immigrant student funds directly via the Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS). |
