- Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
On December 10, 2015, President Obama signed the bipartisan ESSA, which reauthorizes the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965, and requires states to have a new multiple measures accountability system in effect by 2017–18.
