California Health Science Capacity Building Project

Funding Description

Grant funds may be used to either establish a new Health Science Pathway Program or to enhance an existing Health Science Pathway Program. Successful grantees will be expected to develop a standards-based curriculum, to develop a coherent sequence of courses, and to provide health science content and context inclusive of grades seven through twelve. Grant funds must not be used to maintain existing programs.

Allocation Formula Applicants will be awarded up to $30,000 to $60,000 in urban, suburban, and rural communities in California. Final award determinations will be based on application quality, geographic location, type of grant requested, and on additional funding received by the school for the requested pathway program. Programs without significant additional funding will receive priority.
