Quality Counts California (QCC) Workforce Pathways Grant FY 2020-21

Funding Description
The QCC Workforce Pathways Grant is designed to align with the QCC professional development system and to focus on local workforce needs across all care setting types. A total of $12,281,316 is available. This amount has been distributed among local consortia and multi-county consortia that apply for funding by submitting a QCC Workforce Development Plan. Childcare Planning Councils (LPCs) have first right of refusal to submit an application for the QCC Workforce Pathways Grant.Eligibility

Required Eligibility Criteria | The Childcare Planning Councils (LPCs) or current salary and retention administrators have first right of refusal to submit an application for the QCC Workforce Pathways Grant. The QCC Consortia Lead will have the second right of refusal. The QCC Workforce Pathways Grant, RFA is also available to all counties and Tribal Care. |
Other Eligibility Considerations | The lead applicants must, at a minimum, be a participating local consortia member with the capacity to administer and implement the QCC Workforce Pathways Grant. |

Other | Distribution of grant funds will follow as a result of a Request For Applications process which will include submission of an Early Learning and Care Workforce Development Pathways Grant Workforce Development Plan that aligns with the QCC Local Consortia and Partnership Grants unified approach. Successful applicants will receive an initial payment of 25 percent of the total grant award. The Lead Agency will submit quarterly invoices reflecting expenditures, and once the initial 25 percent payment has been exhausted, the CDE will reimburse the Lead Agency for allowable expenditures upon receipt and approval of the Reimbursement Invoice. |
