Nonpublic Schools and Agencies Placement Study-Request for Proposal


Funding Description

Assembly Bill 180, requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to contract for a study of nonpublic school or agency (NPS/A) placements for students with exceptional needs. The focus is on intra and interstate NPS/As settings providing special education and related services. Eligible proposers shall include nongovernmental research institutions or institutions of higher education. Proposers may respond independently or as a joint venture with other eligible agencies and must meet the requirements in the Request for Proposal.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Individuals, institutions of higher education, nonprofit organizations, other organizations or agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Eligible applicants must be a nongovernmental research institution or institution of higher education that examines special education nonpublic school or agency (NPS/A). Eligible applicants are required to have expertise in both within the state of California or out-of-state NPS/A placements of California students with disabilities.
