Dear Select District Superintendents:

Late District of Choice Data Submission

This is a reminder that Districts of Choice (DOCs) are required to submit information regarding the DOC program to the California Department of Education (CDE) via the California Basic Educational Data System (CBEDS) no later than October 16. You are receiving this notice because you have not completed this required data submission by the deadline.

Please work with your district’s CBEDS coordinator to report your CBEDS District of Choice Supplemental (DOCS) data as soon as possible. Please note, DOCS data may be submitted and certified separately from the rest of your CBEDS data, as CBEDS data are not due until October 31.

DOCS data shall be reported using the CBEDS Online Reporting Application (ORA), which is available on the CDE website at
