Dear Superintendents of State Special Schools,

First Apportionment to State Special Schools for
Local Control Funding Formula Entitlements,
Fiscal Year 2024–25

This apportionment, in the amount of $121,536, is made in accordance with California Education Code (EC) Section 42238.03(e)(2)(C). The purpose of this apportionment is to provide funding to each state special school for the former categorical programs specified in EC Section 42238.03(e)(2)(A). State special schools are entitled to the same amount of funding that was received from each program in 2012–13. This apportionment reflects 100 percent of each state special school’s entitlement for fiscal year 2024–25.

Warrants will be mailed approximately three weeks from the date of this letter. The superintendents of each state special school were notified of this apportionment by email. The notification included a link to this letter and the apportionment schedule, which are posted on the California Department of Education web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/statespecialschool.asp.
