The School Fiscal Services Division presented a webinar on May 12, 2026 that discussed how local educational agencies (LEAs) can maximize average daily attendance (ADA) and associated apportionment funding by properly utilizing independent study, make‑up attendance programs - Attendance Recovery/Saturday School - and, when appropriate, the Form J‑13A. Details were provided explaining how proper implementation of these programs can help LEAs mitigate ADA impacts while remaining compliant with state requirements.

The School Fiscal Services Division recorded a webinar on August 19, 2025 that reviews the instructional time requirements that apply to LEAs, the methods for claiming ADA, important clarifications on the Form J-13A process for waivers of instructional time requirements due to emergency events, updates to Transitional Kindergarten (TK) requirements under full TK implementation, and guidance on apportionment-significant requirements of Attendance Recovery and Independent Study.
