The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has released the draft Farm to School (F2S) Incubator Grant Request for Applications (RFA) for public comment through September 11, 2026. The CDFA is holding information session to provide an overview of the RFA and allow time for questions and public comments.

Grant Application Period
The F2S Incubator Grant application will open in October 2026.
Background
Up to $40 million dollars is available for award during this grant cycle; the CDFA will set aside up to 10 percent of awards for tribal governments and tribal-based nonprofit organizations. The upcoming grant cycle will include three tracks:
- Track 1: California F2S Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 12 Procurement and Education Grant
- Track 2: California F2S Technical Assistance Subaward Grant
- Track 3: California F2S Producer and Food Hub Grant
