Dear County and District Superintendents, Charter School Administrators, and School Principals:

Twelfth Annual California STEAM Symposium

The California Department of Education is excited to announce that the twelfth annual California STEAM Symposium will take place on February 7–8, 2025, at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego. The event website is https://www.steamcalifornia.org/. This event is hosted by the California Department of Education, the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, and the Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation. It offers the opportunity to participate in peer-led sessions and connect with fellow educators across California and beyond.

The STEAM Symposium remains committed to advancing equity and will focus on the theme “You Belong in STEAM.” Throughout the event, we will come together to explore high-quality STEAM strategies to cultivate systems that promote lifelong learning through targeted practices, high-impact techniques, and policies. Participants will explore creating conditions to nurture student agency, identity, and inclusion through joyful STEAM learning experiences. Team participation is encouraged so that colleagues can develop high-impact STEAM integration strategies as a team and support each other throughout implementation after the event.
