Program Self-Evaluations

Due: June 1, 2026

California State Preschool Program (CSPP) contractors are required to analyze findings from the self-evaluation and develop both a written list of tasks to modify the program for all areas needing improvement and procedures for ongoing monitoring to ensure that areas that are satisfactory continue to meet standards.

For Fiscal Year (FY) 2025–26, all CSPP contractors will use the California Department of Education (CDE), Early Education Division’s (EED) Program Instrument (PI) to conduct the FY 2025–26 Program Self-Evaluation (PSE) and are required to complete a summary of findings to satisfy the submission requirements for the PSE. The survey will identify how programs met or did not meet the contract terms and conditions of the CSPP contract. In addition, contractors are required to submit a training needs survey to the CDE using the SNAP Survey.

Please have one (1) staff member submit via email to PSEFY2526@cde.ca.gov, a summary of findings, on behalf of your CSPP agency, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026. CSPP contractors are also required to submit a Training Needs Survey to the CDE using SNAP Survey.
