2020 CDE Social and Emotional Learning State Team
Information regarding the 2020–21 California Department of Education (CDE) Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) State Team.The CDE established a SEL State Team in June 2020. Co-led by the Educator Excellence and Equity and Expanded Learning Divisions, members were tasked with helping to identify and disseminate best practices to provide SEL supports for students and adults in California. The team consisted of educators and experts who were selected through a competitive application process. Members worked in three smaller working groups that focused on the following subtopics: policy recommendations, resources, and development of SEL conditions and competencies. This State Team met virtually through June 2021.
