Enrollment (K-12) A total count of K-12 students enrolled (primary or short-term) on Census Day (the first Wednesday in October). These data were submitted to CALPADS as part of the annual Fall 1 submission.
Unduplicated FRPM Eligible Count (Unadjusted) Of the Enrollment (K-12) count, a total unduplicated count of students who meet household income or categorical eligibility criteria for free or reduced price meals (FRPM) based on applying for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP); submitting alternative household income forms; their homeless, migrant, or foster status in CALPADS; or being "directly certified" as participating in California's food stamp or CalWORKs programs during July - November 2013. This count corresponds to the "Total Unduplicated Eligible Free/Reduced Meal Counts" provided in CALPADS certification report 1.17: FRPM/English Learner/Foster Youth - Count.
English Learner (EL) Count Of the Enrollment (K-12) count, a count of students identified in CALPADS as English learners (EL). This count corresponds to the "EL Funding Eligible" count provided in CALPADS certification report 1.17: FRPM/English Learner/Foster Youth - Count.
CDSS Foster Youth Count Of the Enrollment (K-12) count, a count of students identified as being in foster care through a data match between CALPADS and the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Child Welfare Services / Case Management System (CWS/CMS). This count corresponds to the "CDSS Foster Youth" count provided in CALPADS certification report 1.17: FRPM/English Learner/Foster Youth - Count. This count may include foster youth identified from the statewide match with California Department of Social Services (CDSS) data conducted after LEAs' certification of their CALPADS Fall 1 data.
Unduplicated FRPM/EL/Foster Count (Unadjusted) Of the Enrollment (K-12) count, an unduplicated count of students who are FRPM eligible, EL, or Foster Youth. This count corresponds to the "Unduplicated FRPM/EL/Foster Youth Total" count provided in CALPADS certification report 1.17: FRPM/English Learner/Foster Youth - Count. Note: If LEAs printed a version of this report prior to the February load of CDSS data, the printed report may not include additional foster students identified by the statewide match.  If LEAs view the report in CALPADS it will now reflect the updated counts.
Directly Certified (Dec - Feb) Count Of the Enrollment (K-12) count, a total count of students "directly certified" as participating in California's food stamp or CalWORKs programs during December 2013, January 2014, or February 2014, and therefore eligible for free meals.
Unduplicated FRPM/EL/Foster Count (Adjusted) Of the Enrollment (K-12) count, an unduplicated count of students who are FRPM eligible, EL, or Foster Youth that has been adjusted to include the Directly Certified (Dec - Feb) Count. This count augments the Unduplicated FRPM/EL/Foster Count (Unadjusted) to include the unduplicated count of students "directly certified" as participating in California's food stamp or CalWORKs programs during December 2013, January 2014, or February 2014. This adjustment is not reflected on the CALPADS certification report 1.17: FRPM/English Learner/Foster Youth - Count.
Unduplicated Non-Juvenile Hall Pupil Count For non-Juvenile Hall schools, the CALPADS Unduplicated Pupil Count (UPC) is equal to Unduplicated FRPM/EL/Foster Count (Adjusted).
Unduplicated Juvenile Hall Pupil Count For Juvenile Hall schools, the CALPADS Unduplicated Pupil Count (UPC) is equal to Enrollment (K-12), as all juvenile hall students are counted under the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF).
CALPADS Unduplicated Pupil Count (UPC) Of the Enrollment (K-12) count, an unduplicated count of students who are FRPM eligible, EL, Foster Youth, or in Juvenile Hall. The CALPADS Unduplicated Pupil Count (UPC) is the starting point for determining the unduplicated pupil percentage (UPP) used in the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) supplemental and concentration grant calculations. These data, and additional adjustments made during the apportionment process, are displayed on Principal Apportionment exhibits for the appropriate fiscal year, apportionment cycle, and LEA. The specific exhibits are titled "School District [County/Charter School] Unduplicated Pupil Percentage".
2013–14 CALPADS Fall 1 Certification Status (Y/N) A Y or N value to indicate whether data were submitted and certified in CALPADS. No data are provided where the certification status is "N".
