CTE Postsecondary Completer Data Survey Template and Reporting Instructions

The California Department of Education has posted a sample survey template and reporting instructions for surveying the postsecondary status of Career Technical Education (CTE) completers that exited from the 2018–19 cohort. The survey template has been posted on the CDE CALPADS Communications web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/calpads via the Communications link. Direct links to the survey template are provided below.

The data collected by LEAs from this survey will be reported to CALPADS through the new Postsecondary Status File (PSTS) in the CALPADS Fall 2 submission (Survey Questions 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6), and a Snap Survey (Questions 2, 7, 8, and 9), which can be found at the following link: https://surveys2.cde.ca.gov/go/ctecompleters2018-19.asp [The preceding link is no longer valid, as this survey is now closed.]

CALPADS data coordinators and CTE staff should work to ensure that data are reported to CALPADS through the PSTS file and the snap survey by the March 20, 2020, Fall 2 certification deadline. It is anticipated that many of the data elements collected this year through the Snap Survey will be reported directly to CALPADS beginning next year (2020–21).
