Funding Description

Carl D. Perkins Career & Technical Education provides local educational agencies with funding for the improvement of secondary and postsecondary career and technical education programs. Funding is provided to (1) state institutions, including the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and State Special Schools (Section 112); (2) secondary education programs (Section 131); and (3) postsecondary education programs (Section 132).

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria State Special Schools and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation are eligible to apply for Section 112 funding. High school districts, charter high schools, and county offices of education are eligible to apply for Section 131 funds. Regional Occupational Centers and Programs, and adult schools are eligible to apply for Section 132 funds.
