Tobacco-Use Prevention Education: Grades Six through Twelve Tier 2

Funding Description

The Legislature requires that the funds allocated under this Tier 2 Request For Applications must be used to develop anti-tobacco education programs and tobacco use intervention and cessation activities in order to reduce the number of students in California who begin to use tobacco, continue to use tobacco, or both (HSC 104420(k)(1)). This funding opportunity is over the duration of three fiscal years 2023-2026.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Local educational agencies must be certified tobacco-free by July 1, 2023. Funding is available to districts, charter schools, consortium leads, and county offices of education that serve students in grades six through twelve.
