Funding Description
The California State Preschool Program (CSPP) Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Block Grant awards site QRIS block grants at quality rating Tiers 4 and 5 to help address the additional costs associated with reaching and maintaining high levels of quality. At Tier 3, the CSPP Block Grant can provide training and technical assistance (T&TA) support to help programs improve their quality and tier rating.

| Required Eligibility Criteria |
Applicants must be a part of a local QRIS consortium; consortia must implement a QRIS incorporating the Quality Continuum Framework; consortia must use a shared Tiered Rating Matrix. |
| Other Eligibility Considerations |
The funding will be allocated for the CSPP QRIS Block Grants in fiscal year (FY) 2023-24. Applicants awarded a QRIS Block Grant will receive funding subject to quarterly fiscal reporting. |
