Migrant Education Program: California Mini-Corps Program

Funding Description

The funding will establish a network of program sites across the state that collaborate with local Migrant Education Program subgrantees to place college tutors in classrooms to support migratory students that are academically at-risk and demonstrate a priority for service. In addition, the applicant will hire bilingual (Spanish) college students who are strongly interested in pursuing a teaching career and provide training and support to pursue a teaching career.

Required Eligibility Criteria This grant is available for the Butte County Office of Education only.
Other Eligibility Considerations Applicant must adhere to the provisions set forth in the Budget Act, Item 6100-125-0890, Schedule 2, Provision 1. Applicant must provide instructional support services to migratory students that are academically at-risk and demonstrate a priority for service. Applicant must adhere to all 2024-25 Grant Application Guidelines for the California Mini-Corps Grant.
