Funding Description
The California State Preschool Program (CSPP) Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Block Grant is supported annually by $50 million in state education funds (Prop 98 general funds, which by law are required to be administered by a local education agency) for the support of local early learning QRIS programs that increase the number of low-income children in high-quality state preschool programs that prepare those children for success in school and life.

Other Eligibility Considerations |
The funding will be allocated for the CSPP QRIS Block Grants in fiscal year (FY) 2024-25. Applicants awarded a QRIS Block Grant will receive funding subject to quarterly fiscal reporting [California Education Code sections 8426 (a)(1) and 8203.1(g)]. |
