Funding Description

The California Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG) is a state education, economic, and workforce development initiative with the goal of providing pupils in kindergarten through grades twelve, inclusive, with the knowledge and skills necessary to transition to employment and postsecondary education.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria A grant recipient under this chapter may consist of one or more, or any combination, of the following: (a) School districts, (b) County offices of education, (c) Charter schools, (d) Regional occupational centers or programs operated by joint powers authorities, provided that the application has the written consent of each participating local educational agency.
Other Eligibility Considerations The applicant, or the applicant's, career technical education program, as applicable, meets all of the minimum eligibility standards as specified in Education Code Section 53071(C)1-11(A)(B).

Other Funding is usually done in two rounds, due to all funds not being allocated in the first round. In order to use the full funding of $300,000,000, the CDE offers a second round of funding for those LEAs that might have missed the first round or for LEAs that might have not received funding in the first round. Those who applied in the first round and received funds are not eligible to apply in round B.
