Funding Description
The Strengthening Support for Early Childhood Special Education (SSECSE) grant advances effective early childhood special education practices across California. The grant supports local educational agencies (LEAs) in improving services for preschool-aged children with disabilities by promoting inclusive learning environments and strengthening transitions from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C early intervention to Part B preschool special education. Activities may include technical assistance, professional development, resources, and communities of practice to improve outcomes and expand inclusive placements.
