Agricultural (Ag) Career Technical Education (CTE) Incentive Grant timeline for the 2026-27 Request for Applications (RFA).

Date	Activity
June 19, 2026	Announcement letters made available to School Districts by California Department of Education (CDE).
June 19–July 15, 2026	Agriculture Education Regional Supervisors available to assist LEAs with questions.
July 15, 2026	Applications due to the CDE. Submit via email to the Regional Supervisor or mail a hard copy by United States Postal Service (USPS).
July 15–August 30, 2026	Regional Supervisors process applications and submit funding lists to the program manager.
August 15–September 1, 2026	Payments established and LEAs are notified.
September 15, 2026 (or earlier)	The Grant Award Encumbrance and Notification packet is submitted.
October 15, 2026	Program Enrollment Data must be completed in the Agricultural Experience Tracker (AET) system. Report of Expenditures page with actual expenditures and matching for preceding year due to Regional Supervisor. Future Farmers of America (FFA) membership rosters must be completed in AET and affiliation completed with the FFA Membership Services Office.
October 15, 2026–February 15, 2027	On–site and paper reviews of LEAs completed by Regional Supervisors.
November 2026	Grant Notifications (AO-400) are mailed to the districts; they are signed and returned to CDE.
December 2026–January 2027	Payments sent to School Districts.
June 30, 2027	Funds must be spent by School Districts.
October 15, 2027	Final Report of Expenditures due to Regional Supervisor.
