Middle School Foundation Academies Planning and Implementation Grant


Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.

Middle School Foundation Academies (MSFA) Planning and Implementation Grants will be funded at $1,050,000. This funding is for 14 planning and 14 implementation grants for middle school career academies ($25,000/$50,000 per Academy). The funds are from the Proposition 98 - Career Technical Education Initiative is included in the 2025-26 State Budget. The program aims to establish MSFAs to prepare students for participation in a complete, high-quality career technical education pathway at the local high school.

Required as a condition of receiving funds. Applicants do not need to sign and return them with the application; they must be downloaded and kept on file for compliance reviews, complaint investigations, or audits. Applicants that participate in the Consolidated Application - ConApp - should have a copy on file and do not need another copy. Program-specific assurances are not included here and should be listed separately on the Request for Application (RFA).
