Broadband Initiatives

Connecting districts, county offices of education, & schools to broadband internet.

The California Department of Education’s (CDE) goal is to ensure that every child has access to a world-class education. Part of the strategy toward reaching this goal is access to technology. The CDE works with multiple programs and non-profit organizations to get broadband connectivity to California schools. Thus, allowing students and teachers to maximize their access and utilization of education technology for every day learning and assessments.

California K-12 High Speed Network (K12HSN)
The K-12 High-Speed Network provides high-speed Internet access to California schools.

Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC)
The Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California provides high-speed Internet access to California County Offices of Education, districts, and schools.
