Dear County and District Superintendents and Charter School Administrators:

2019 California Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics Symposium

The California Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to announce the 7th Annual California Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) Symposium, a collaborative effort with the CDE, Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation, and the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.

You are invited to join more than 3,000 STEAM educators from across our state at the 2019 STEAM Symposium on December 9-10, 2019, at the Anaheim Convention Center North. The STEAM Symposium web site is https://www.steamcalifornia.org.

The Symposium highlights the work of California’s leaders in classroom innovation from across the state and shares promising practices in the areas of STEAM to help students succeed. If you are interested in practical strategies and creative ideas as well as classroom resources and networking opportunities, this event is for you. The Symposium will also offer students the opportunity to showcase their innovative class projects.

Early Bird registration for the Symposium is open now through Friday, June 28. To register, go to the STEAM event web page at http://bit.ly/STEAMRegister.

In addition, the Symposium is calling for presenters and accepting presentation proposals which are due by July 8, 2019. Multiple submissions are encouraged. To submit a proposal, please go to http://bit.ly/STEAMPresent.

If you have questions regarding this event, please e-mail the organizers at steamsymposium@cdefoundation.org.

Sincerely,

Tony Thurmond
