Additional Federal and State Monitoring

The following program conducts monitoring reviews required by federal and state law. These reviews are separate from the compliance monitoring process coordinated by the Federal Program Monitoring Office.

Civil Rights Review

The Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) ensures compliance with state and federal civil rights laws, and regulations in the delivery of education services. The OEO Office will be conducting on-site monitoring of LEAs for Civil Rights Review programs.

    There are several factors used in identifying LEAs for review. Each year, approximately 130 LEAs are selected for review–65 LEAs from one cohort for an onsite review, and 65 LEAs from another cohort for an online review.
