Funding Description

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires state educational agencies to determine school eligibility for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI). Local educational agencies (LEAs) with schools that are eligible for CSI must partner with stakeholders to develop and implement a school plan for the school to improve student outcomes.

Required Eligibility Criteria An LEA with a school or schools that meet the criteria for CSI is eligible to apply for funding. LEAs include county offices of education, school districts, and direct-funded charter schools.
