Subsidized Provider Report

Guidance and technical assistance for the Subsidized Provider Report (SPR).

Note: The Subsidized Provider Report Upload Function will be available in the California Department of Social Services' (CDSS) Child Development Management Information System (CDMIS) beginning November 19, 2024.

Pursuant to Senate Bill (SB) 75 (Statutes of 2019), California must collect information regarding license-exempt and family child care home providers to comply with state requirements. The California Department of Education (CDE), Early Education Division (EED) developed the SPR to meet these requirements. The information collected from the SPR will be used by provider organizations for the purposes of collective bargaining, and by the CDE and other state and local agencies for emergency response purposes.

The SPR must be submitted by EED-contracted agencies via the CDSS CDMIS. Current EED-contracted agencies can log on to the CDSS CDMIS to fulfill their reporting requirements. All California State Preschool Program (CSPP) contractors are required to maintain and update their administrative information with the CDE CDMIS.
