Annual Site Visits
Annual site visits bring authorizers directly into the heart of charter school operations, creating opportunities for real-time assessment and meaningful dialogue. During these essential visits, authorizers actively review academic outcomes, analyze fiscal operations, connect with educational partners across the school community, and thoroughly examine governance practices and state and federal charter school compliance. California Charter Authorizing Professionals (CCAP), Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE), San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD), and Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) are providing several resources, including specialized toolkits and protocols, to maximize the impact of these critical oversight visits.
