California School Dashboard

California’s accountability and continuous improvement system.

The California School Dashboard External link opens in new window or tab. (Dashboard) is a powerful online tool that displays the performance of local educational agencies (LEAs), schools, and student groups on a set of state and local measures to assist in identifying strengths, challenges, and areas in need of improvement.

To learn more about a state or local measure, access the Dashboard Resources web page.

To learn about how state and local measures are drawn from the ten priority areas of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), the Connecting the Dashboard to LCFF web page lists each LCFF priority area and the corresponding state and/or local measure.

With a continuous improvement framework supporting California’s K–12 accountability system, in November 2022, the State Board of Education (SBE) approved a set of principles specific to the Dashboard to use as an anchor to evaluate future changes and additions to the indicators reported on the Dashboard. To access these principles, visit the Dashboard Principles web page.
