To the ACCS commissioners and California Department of Education (CDE) staff,
My name is Sarah Budfuloski, and I am a 6th grader at Baypoint Preparatory Academy. I have been a student at Baypoint since kindergarten, and I am writing this letter to support Baypoint's charter renewal.
Baypoint has been my school for most of my life, and it feels like a second home to me. My teachers have always helped me believe in myself and encouraged me to try new things. Because of Baypoint, I have had opportunities that I may not have had at other schools. One of my favorite parts of Baypoint is being on the archery team. I have gone to Nationals two years in a row, and I was ranked 2nd in California for elementary girls. Archery has taught me how to focus, stay calm, and not give up when things are challenging. I am very thankful that Baypoint offers programs like this.
I also enjoy being involved in other activities at Baypoint. Every year, I participate in the Veterans Appreciation event by singing the Star-Spangled Banner, which has helped me learn the importance of honoring and thanking those who serve our country. I am also part of the theater program, where I have learned teamwork and gained confidence performing in front of others.
Baypoint has helped me grow not only as a student, but also as a person. I feel safe, supported, and proud to be a Baypoint student. I am excited to continue my education here and grateful for everything this school has given me.
