To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter in support of Olive Grove CharterĀ  School in Santa Barbara. My daughter has been attending this school for a year and a half, and during this time we have seen a tremendous improvement in her well being. Before enrolling at Olive Grove, she struggled to fit in at her previous high school, and began heading in the wrong direction, and her grades were declining. The stress of that environment caused her significant anxiety each day.
Since joining Olive Grove, she has become noticeably happier, more confident, and more engaged in her education. Her grades are steadily improving, and she finally feels supported in a way that meets her needs. For students who do not thrive in a traditional high school setting, having alternative options like Olive Grove is essential.
My daughter has a year and a half left of high school remaining, and if this charter school is shut down, we are genuinely unsure of what options will be available to her. I strongly hope that Olive Grove’s permit can be renewed. The positive impact this school has on students goes far beyond test scores, it can truly change the trajectory of their lives.
Thank you for your consideration.

Danny Rada
