1. Classified Employee Staffing Ratio Workgroup
   For each agenda item, there is a brief description.
   
   
   1. Call to Order:
      Chair Steiger called the meeting to order at approximately 3:04 p.m.
      
      
   2. Quorum
      Attendance taken, 20 members were in attendance and quorum for the meeting met.
      
      
   3. Overview and Approval of Agenda
      ACTION: Member Raymond Andry moved to approve the agenda. There was no discussion. Member Ken Whitemoore seconded the motion.
      Vote: 16 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 abstain. Motion Passes
      
      
   4. Adopt Minutes from June 1, 2026, meeting (ACTION)
      
      • June 1, 2026 Meeting Minutes
        ACTION: Member Susan Rutledge moved to approve the minutes. There was no discussion. Member Carl Williams seconded the motion.
        Vote: 17 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 abstain. Motion Passes
        
        
   5. California Department of Education staff role is to make non substantive edits to finalize the legislative report.
      ACTION: Member Carl Williams moved to approve the item. Member Yvonne Smeltz seconded the motion.
      Vote: 17 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 abstained. Motion Passes
      
      
   6. Small Group Breakouts
      Members broke out in groups for Classified Employee grouping over two sessions. Small answered the following guiding questions:
      • Identify a person to take notes and share back.
      • Do you feel comfortable moving the recommendations in this section forward as written?
        
        
   7. Whole Group Discussion
      One person from each group shares what was discussed in their small group.
      
      
   8. Voting on the legislative report draft
      ACTION: Member Ken Whitemoore moved to approve the legislative report. Member Navnit Puryear seconded the motion.
      Vote: 12 in favor, 4 opposed, 0 abstained. Motion Passes
