Funding Description

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides resources and assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) with schools eligible for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI). Consistent with the System of Support's focus on increasing the capacity of LEAs to meet the needs of all students, the Budget Act of 2020 appropriated federal funding to county offices of education for the purposes of supporting the statewide system of technical assistance and support for LEAs in their county.

Required Eligibility Criteria A county office of education (COE) with an LEA or LEAs in its county with schools that meet the criteria for CSI is eligible to apply for funding.
