Funding Description

Funding provided through the Proposition 98: Career Technical Education Initiative (CTEI). The funded projects must have a statewide benefit. Funding amount is based on the Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) Workforce Training Program within the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) regions.

Required Eligibility Criteria Project funding is awarded on a non-competitive basis to agencies that have the appropriate expertise needed to address the career technical education (CTE) Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) Pathways Program related to the CTE plan. The funded projects must have a statewide benefit.

Funding

Legal Authority Funding is provided to LEAs to conduct statewide leadership projects at the direction of CDE staff. Funding provided through the CTEI pursuant to the supplemental report of Budget Item 6100-170-0001.

Allocation Formula The first payment of 75 percent of the funds will be released upon completion and return of the AO-400, Proposed Budget, and Budget Narrative. Please allow approximately four weeks for processing. The second payment of 15 percent of the funds will be released upon completion of the mid-year report submitted to CDE. The final payment of 10 percent will be processed after the End-of-Project (EOP) Expenditure Report, which is due after all funds have been expended but no later than 45 days after the end of the grant period. The EOP should include a narrative of expenditures.
